TED - Don Norman on 3 ways good design makes you happy (Link)
Watch Don Norman and learn about his theory of emotions as related to Design and Creativity.

1. Think about the role of emotions/mindset in the creative process. Remember the example he cited. Recall any brainstorming sessions you conducted before (as well as the in-class exercise earlier) - were the sessions conducted effectively? Why/not?
This lecture which was conducted by Norman is indeed an interesting and attracting/eye catching way. It kinds of brings everybody attention and focus on him, and he was able to explain and recite yet stumble on the subject course of living. Design does creates a great atmosphere which honestly no one can resist. It is kind of a seduction. Although, in certain times where things doesn't go our way, design draft is not what you wanted or ideas are not able to process properly, but eventually when design is completed and design is satisfied. happiness is once again roses. I remembered that there was once when i was brainstorming about a certain product in my previously institute, where it was frustrating when no ideas follows. But after times of practice and getting used to, it helps and improve the process. The outcome was produce, happiness is once again achieved by both designers and consumers.

I totally agree with what Norman commented, that majority people buy items/products for the interesting designs, fun and happy concept which all links to one common factor, FUN.
As everyone enjoys a laugh and like to be incontrol, and nobody enjoys feeling negative and not having control with what they have(lost touch). That would be one of the main purpose why consumers like buying attractive and products that attracts attention.

Another topic that he mention was when everyone in a group was brainstorming about a certain idea and couldn't solve it, until someone with sweets asked if anyone of them wanted and so the attention and pressure at that moment was reduced and recharge by that element of sweetness and so, an idea is easily solved.
